Fish Me

Sunphade partnered with Fish Me Fisketorget AS, a waterfront restaurant in Bergen. Due to its prime location at the harbor, the venue is highly exposed to direct sunlight, leading to glare and heat gain that can impact both guest experience and staff comfort. To address this, Sunphade installed its dynamic, photochromic film across selected glass surfaces.

The Challenge

Fish Me Fisketorget AS is a waterfront restaurant in Bergen, exposed to strong sunlight throughout the day due to its open harbor location. While the large glass façades offer stunning views, they also lead to significant glare and heat build-up, impacting guest comfort and the indoor dining experience. Fish Me needed a solution that would reduce heat and glare without compromising natural light or the connection to the waterfront.

The Solution

Sunphade installed its photochromic solar film across selected glass surfaces. The film dynamically adapts to sunlight-tinting when exposed to strong light and remaining clear when conditions are lower-requiring no electricity or manual control.

The Result

Improved comfort without losing the view. Sunphade reduces glare and heat during peak sunlight hours while preserving the bright, open atmosphere and uninterrupted views of the harbor-supporting a better guest experience aligned with Fish Me’s sustainability focus.

"We have chosen to install Sunphade's sun film so that the customers can still enjoy the fantastic view that we have here and at the same time protect them from the harsh sunlight. It is clean, it is tidy, other options such as curtains or blinds or whatever it may be would require a lot more maintenance and cleaning. This is very easy to maintain and the customer maintains the fantastic experience here."
